Serving size: 1 match head size. Container weight is approximately  0.8 oz. - 1 oz.

Suggested Use: Take 50 to 300 mg of the Cape Aloe Bitter Crystals in water or juice at bedtime or at your convenience.  The crystal will become "gummy" on the bottom of cup.  It will not dissolve. You can keep adding water to the glass with that same crystal if you take it earlier in the day.  The taste has the bitter quality of a typical grapefruit.

Use Cape Aloe Bitter Crystals for 1 day. Repeat as needed until you get the desired results or regular bowel movement occurs.  The smallest dose necessary to maintain regular bowel movement should be taken. Some people prefer to take a small crystal and swallow it with a full glass of water. Water is the key to taking the crystals this way.  The more water you drink, the better your results.

A crystal of 50 mg is approximately the size of a match head.  Larger crystals can easily be crushed into smaller crystals.  Place crystal(s) between 2 spoons and gently press spoons together. The smaller broken pieces of crystals found at the bottom of container may be taken the same way. Take a pinch and drop them in water or swallow with glass of water.

Active Ingredients:  Dried crystallized Aloe Bitter sap

Cape Aloe Bitter Crystals contain plant chemicals that:

               HAND PICKED HEALTH

Wild-harvest ingredients • Micro-production • Preservation of indigenous knowledge

Along the coast of southern Africa, a small tribe of indigenous folk have been harvesting the herbs of the area to use as medicinal remedies for over 300 years. We have spent the last 25 years learning about their unique wild- harvesting craft and effective remedies. That is what we would like to share with you. This craft of picking the herbs by hand promotes the sustainability of the plants and their natural environment. It also ensures the purest, wild-harvest quality of herbal ingredients that promote the body's natural self-healing properties.

The local wild-harvesting folk sustain their communities by trading the herbs with the local manufacturers, as they have done for many years. They are true artisans and entrepreneurs of herbal extraction. We have formed a unique relationship with the folk to manufacture products that are formulated with these wild-harvested herbs. Our production runs in micro-batches and we focus on extracting the whole properties of the herbs that promote the body's natural toxin removal and antioxidant processes.

Our aim is to capture the essence of traditional herbal medicine that has proven to be effective remedies of general health for hundreds of years. We are also very passionate to support and help to sustain the livelihood of the local wild-harvesting folk.

Pharmacy in a Plant!

Aloe ferox is among the tallest of the more than 400 aloe species and is native to southeastern and western regions of South Africa. Compared to the more widely known Aloe Vera, Aloe Ferox produces 20 times more bitter sap and has higher nutrient concentrations. Two distinct parts of the aloe plant are used medicinally.

Firstly the aloe exudate (bitter sap) and secondly the mucilaginous gel from the remainder of the leaf. The aloe bitter is best known for its use as a laxative. However, in addition to the purgative effect the bitter substance is also an antioxidant, antiviral and effective for cancer prevention.
